Regular troop meetings need to be held within our Service Unit boundaries. For information on our boundaries, visit the 'About Us' page.
Potential Troop Meeting Places:
> Parkland Amphitheater Office/After Care Space - They can sometimes accommodate Girl Scouts troop meetings or events.
> Broward County Public Schools - Consider asking one of the schools in our area. Very often there is a fee (as per School Board Policy), however the fee could be split between troop members. Parents may be willing to pitch in knowing there is a good, safe space available for your meetings. Also consider meeting space fees when you are planning product sales. Depending on the situation at the school, perhaps you could reduce the cost by sharing the meeting space with other troops or offering to do community service for the school.
> Ask the parents in your troop for help in finding a location. Maybe someone has a clubhouse at their development that could be used, many developments do. Or maybe they have a connection at a business that could used (a classroom at pre-school, an office with a conference room, a retail location with a 'classroom' or demonstration room.
> In someone's home. Many troops meet out of either one of their members homes, or they rotate meetings from house to house.
